Adoption Process

The adoption process may take some time to complete so patience is required. The first step in the process is to read the Intro Letter. Next, fill out the adoption application and review our mission statement. Return the application to our organization via email or U.S. mail. Before placement, it is also necessary to read and sign our Contract as well as the Release of Liability and Indemnification. See all the forms necessary below.

A comprehensive background check and home visit are completed by our organization for every potential adoptive family. These steps take time to accomplish. We do not rush through the process for any reason.

  1. Intro Letter
  2. ALAC Mission Statement
  3. Application
  4. Contract
  5. Surrender Form
  6. Release of Liability and Indemnification

**Note:  The Application is a fillable .pdf form … once completed, you will need to save it to your device.  After the application is completed and saved, it can then be either attached to an email or printed and snail mailed to our P.O. Box as noted on the Application.

If sending by snail mail, please give us a heads-up by email at ApsoRescue@aol.com so we can be sure the check the box.
